The Toy Box heard about some problems that we had with our old storage facility and graciously donated a climate controlled storage room to Area 16.

A Special Thanks to Harding’s Friendly Markets and Pepsi

Harding’s Friendly Markets and Pepsi are getting ready to host a golf outing to benefit the athletes of Special Olympics Kalamazoo County. It will be the 17th year that this event has taken place, sponsored by these two companies. Last year topped all records in participation and money raised. As a result of that event, $42,000 was brought in for our local Special Olympics program!! We would like to thank Harding’s, Pepsi, the vendor partners of these two companies, and all of the private donors who made this event possible. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for our area program. The money raised last year will be used to buy equipment and uniforms, rent sports facilities for practices, and to pay registration and travel expenses for our athletes to attend regional and state competitions. A special acknowledgement to Curt DeVries (Harding’s) and Bill Spaulding (Pepsi), the event organizers, for the many hours they donate each year in planning and contributing to the success of the golf outing. Thank you for your continued support of our local Special Olympics program!!
